On The Record

The Army National Guard recently honored Providence Medical Center Clinical Supervisor Kelly Fehlhafer, RN, BSN, CNOR, with the Patriotic Employer Award.

Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Alex Coulis, RN, nominated Fehlhafer for the award.

Coulis works with Fehlhafer in Providence’s cardiac team.

“Kelly is terrific to work with,” Coulis said. “I nominated her for this award because she is always willing to accommodate our last-minute scheduling changes and does so graciously. This was just one small way to try to recognize and thank her for all she does.”

The Patriotic Employer award honors Fehlhafer “for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.”

“Alex is a dedicated employee who works hard,” Fehlhafer says. “I am happy to accommodate his service schedule and appreciate all he does on behalf of our country.”

Fehlhafer joined the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System in 1991. She received her bachelor’s degree of science in nursing from the University of Kansas School of Nursing and is enrolled in a master’s program for business administration at the University of St. Mary. She participates in the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses.
