St. Luke's South partners with Barstow Schooll

The Barstow School, a preparatory school in south Kansas City, announced a partnership with St. Luke’s South Hospital between the school’s athletic program and the hospital’s sports medicine, preventative care programs.

The hospital will provide a “network of physicians” to care for the Barstow School’s athletes. This includes everything from cardiology to emergency care.

The Barstow School has several award-winning sports teams. The girl’s tennis team placed second at state in the 2006-2007 season, and the boy’s basketball team placed second during the 2007-2008 season.

The school and the hospital said they hope that the partnership will provide health and wellness education.
