Liberty to accept Freedom Network

Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo., will accept the Freedom Network Select PPO insurance plan, offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City in January. The plan enrolls around 80,000 people in the Kansas City area. Liberty Hospital estimates that around 20 percent of its out-of-network ER visits are enrolled in the plan.

Liberty Hospital is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Kansas City.
